Fishing
The Llano River in Mason County is considered "the" blue ribbon fly fishing stream of Texas. Not only numbers of pan fish for the beginners, but sizable Largemouth (Micropterus salmoides) and the State Fish of Texas, Guadalupe bass (Micropterus treculii) for the advanced angler (and yes there are catfish in the river). Located only 3 minutes from our front gate, you can't beat the views and attractive spots to cast a fly or pitch a lure. Bring your own kayak or small, two person bass boat or rent ours. You will have fun! We encourage catch and release.
For the more adventuresome folks, we have three lakes within 1.5 hour drive: Brady Lake, O.H. Ivie and Buchanan. A guided trip to any one of the lakes is available.
NOTE: A valid Texas fishing license is required in public waters. Please review the related rules and regulations.
